KURRAM: According to sources who spoke to Geo News, two more individuals who were hurt in the skirmishes earlier on Tuesday passed away, bringing the total number of fatalities in District Kurram to 133.
However, as the truce entered its third day today, the local government of the restive district asserted that the state of law and order was steadily improving.
According to Kurram Deputy Commissioner Javedullah Mehsud, there were no clashes or shootings amongst tribes in any region. He also stated that educational activities were taking place at institutions and that bazaars and stores were operating normally.
However, because of the Parachinar-Peshawar highway closure, residents reported that they were having problems with a shortage of various goods, such as food, medications, and fuel.
Haji Imdad, the president of Kurram Traders, stated that the Afghan border was the reason why trade between Pakistan and Afghanistan was halted.
