A video showing a MiG-29 fighter jet from the Indian Air Force (IAF) crashing to the earth in a flat spin has gone viral.
The IAF reported that the aircraft experienced a “system malfunction” before the crash, which took place earlier today in a field close to Agra, Uttar Pradesh. Thankfully, after guiding the damaged plane away from populous areas to avoid any damage or injuries on the ground, the pilot was able to safely evacuate.
The MiG-29 is shown in the video swiftly descending in a flat spin before hitting the ground. One crucial and uncontrollable rotating motion that seriously jeopardizes flight safety is a flat spin.
The IAF has responded to the occurrence by initiating an investigation to ascertain the reason of the collision.
