According to sources, Imran Khan’s party agreed to launch anti-government protests, thus the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf parliamentary committee forbade its MNA Brigadier (retd) Aslam Ghumman from attending the meeting on Monday.
When he arrived in the fifth meeting room, he was told to leave. Ghumman’s involvement was criticized by committee members, who said that people who were given show-cause notices shouldn’t be at the meeting.
The legislator said, “I am going to offer Namaz,” in response to a reporter’s question about why he was asked to leave.
Despite the party’s decision to abstain from the vote, he was allegedly one of the MNAs who supported the 26th Constitutional Amendment.
On Monday, the government narrowly approved constitutional revisions that give parliament additional authority to select senior judges.
