ISLAMABAD: Barrister Gohar, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has refuted allegations that Bushra Bibi, the wife of the party’s founder Imran Khan, was involved in backdoor negotiations.
He told reporters outside Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on Monday that the PTI founder Imran Khan’s committee was in charge of the talks with the government panel.
He mentioned that there have been two rounds of negotiations with the government negotiation committee. However, he emphasized that since they had previously informed the government negotiation committee that they needed to meet Khan first, they needed to meet the party’s founder chairman prior to the third round of negotiations.
He explained that there had not been any meetings other than the two sessions of the bargaining committee.
