XI’AN: On Saturday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif traveled to the Terracotta Warriors Museum in Xi’an, China, along with a delegation from Pakistan.
The visit was a result of the prime minister receiving an offer from Chinese President Xi Jinping to tour the museum in Xi’an, his hometown.
The team and the prime minister were briefed on tourism promotion and preservation as well as historical heritage restoration during the visit.
During his five-day official visit to China, Prime Minister Shehbaz explored several areas of the museum and expressed his admiration for the artistry of Chinese craftsmen and the splendor of ancient Chinese heritage.
The prime minister added that Pakistan was also rich in historical and cultural history and that he admired the Chinese government’s efforts in protecting and renovating the historical monument.
He declared that in addition, the government will revitalize and market its own historical sites for travel. He expressed his gratitude to President Xi for the invitation to the museum.
The prime minister was accompanied on the tour by federal ministers Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Ataullah Tarar, Dr. Musadik Malik, Sardar Awais Khan Leghari, and Rana Tanveer Hussain.
