Throughout Karachi today, there were numerous instances involving citizen action, arrests, and police interactions.
Significantly, infamous drug dealer Samiullah, popularly known as “Mulla,” was slain on Saturday in Gulshan-e-Johar during a police confrontation. During a raid, the wanted man—who had been running a drug enterprise for more than 20 years—was shot and killed.
Multiple drug-related lawsuits sought Samiullah’s wanted status. In the course of the gunfight with the suspects, two police officers also suffered injuries.
Four motorcycle-borne thieves were shot and killed by a police unit in Ittehad Town, while one of the suspects was also hurt. All four suspects were taken into custody. Two motorcycles and weapons were found on the detained people, who were named as Waqar, Waqas, Aamir, and Murad Ali.
