In an effort to strengthen bilateral collaboration through a number of agreements in different economic sectors, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko arrived in Islamabad on Monday to head a 68-member business delegation for a three-day visit.
The visiting dignitary was met by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and senior officials, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, at Nur Khan Airbase.
The president of Belarus “will hold extensive talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and discuss areas of bilateral cooperation and engagement,” the Foreign Office said in a curtain-raiser.
Additionally, a number of memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and agreements will be inked during the visit, according to the release.
