In Australia, the crocodile that starred in the popular 1980s movie Crocodile Dundee passed away.
In the 1986 film, Burt, who was believed to be over 90, costarred with Paul Hogan and Linda Kozlowski.
Employees at Darwin’s Crocosaurus Cove, a reptile and aquarium attraction where Burt had resided since 2008, verified the news of his passing.
The wildlife center released the following statement on Instagram: “We regret to inform you of the demise of Burt, the famous saltwater crocodile and star of the Australian classic Crocodile Dundee.
“Burt passed away peacefully over the weekend, estimated to be over 90 years old, marking the end of an incredible era.”
