With the help of a button in the caption bar, users may now tag contacts in their status updates. A private notification informing the contact about the mention is sent to them after they are tagged.
Interestingly, this message is covert, meaning that other viewers are not made aware of the precise tags in the status update and that only the person who has been tagged knows that they have been mentioned.
