According to Geo News, a guy entered a mosque in New York and disturbed the people present, seeking the release of Israeli civilians held prisoner by Hamas following an attack on October 7 of last year.
According to accounts, authorities took no action against the unidentified individual, claiming that the incident was not motivated by religious hatred.
The decision not to arrest the guy infuriated the Muslim community, which claimed that the police would have taken action if the event had occurred in any other house of worship.
However, New York Governor Kathy Hochul took notice of the harassment of Muslims, stating that the accused should be brought to justice regardless of who was harassed.
