Given the decline in mango output, these are uncertain times for us. A Sindh Mango Growers and Exporters Association spokesman told WealthPK, “It does not even match last year’s production.”
Along with other regions of the province, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, and Tando Adam districts of Sindh are well-known for their mango cultivation.
Rasool Bux Soomro, Joint Secretary of the Association, stated in an interview with WealthPK that the growers would find it difficult to meet their expenses this season because of the decline in yield, which would leave little opportunity for profit.
Given that Sindh’s mango orchards have been negatively damaged by climate change, he pointed out a 20% decline in productivity and blamed it on it.
