Years passed before Camilla was allowed inside the palace, but the once-vilified royal mistress was eager to win over the longest-reigning queen in British history.
The managing editor of Majesty magazine, Ingrid Seward, just penned a book titled “My Mother and I.” The upbringing and connection between King Charles III and his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, are examined. Seward also took a seat at the 75-year-old king’s Highgrove estate.
The royal expert informed news that Camilla, who was crowned queen in 2023 alongside Charles, wanted to prove her worth.
Seward remarked, “What Camilla did was really work hard at taking care of Charles. She truly assumed the weight of royal obligations after she married Charles, which is difficult for someone who hasn’t been brought up.
