Since yesterday, there has been constant rain in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and the surrounding areas, providing a much-needed break from the heat in the twin cities. But more severe weather is predicted for Islamabad today by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), with thunderstorms, strong winds, rain, and hail in some locations.
Since late last night, there has been sporadic rain in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and Taxila, resulting in nice weather. On the other hand, there have been reports of fallen trees and waterlogging in a number of streets and roads due to the intense rainfall in the twin cities and the surrounding areas.
The twin cities have already seen more than 120 millimeters of rain. The downpour has caused over 40 feeders to trip, resulting in power outages in various places.
