Pakistani gold prices continued to decline on Friday, mirroring developments in the world market.
According to data released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold per tola fell by Rs800 in the local market, ultimately settling at Rs282,300.
In a similar vein, the price of 10-gram gold dropped by Rs686 to Rs242,027.
The most recent dip comes after a notable one on Thursday, when the price of gold dropped by Rs2,300 to close at Rs283,100 per tola. Gold prices reached an all-time high of Rs285,400 a tola earlier in the week on Wednesday, as rising demand was fueled by geopolitical and economic worries.
