A recently disclosed indictment included accusations that two Canadians planned to carry out killings in the United States on behalf of Iran’s spy agencies.
The suspects are charged with planning to kill a man and a woman, one of whom is an Iranian defector, who reside in Maryland.
The U.S. Department of Justice unveiled charges on Monday that contain information on the purported plot and the price the would-be murderers demanded to complete the job: $350,000 USD.
The claims come to light during a period of extremely high tension between the United States and Iran, following the deaths of three American military personnel in an attack carried out by a militia with Iranian support.
One Canadian suspect named in the indictment is Damion Patrick John Ryan, a Hells Angels full-patch member. criminal organization that is said to have put together a group of shooters in late 2020 or early 2021.
At the time, he was purportedly employed by Adam Richard Pearson, a fellow Canadian who was residing in Minnesota without authorization.
According to the U.S., they were employed by an alleged Iranian drug dealer who works under the supervision of a specific person in Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security.
As per the indictment, Pearson pledged to enlist individuals and instruct them to repeatedly shoot the victims in the head with the intention of making a point of them.
Regarding one planned victim, he is also reported to have texted Ryan, saying, “We gotta erase his head from his torso.”
