Both Shangla District Police Officer Imran Khan and Rescue 1122 spokesperson Rasool Khan Sharif confirmed the tragic accident and deaths.
Four women and three children were among the dead, according to Sharif, who spoke with Dawn.com. The bodies were sent to the district headquarters hospital in Alpuri.
He added that the tragic family was on their way home from seeing a relative in Belay Baba when the disaster occurred, killing seven of them and leaving one child to pass away from his wounds while being transported to the hospital.
Following the hospital’s medico-legal process, Sharif stated that the bodies would be given to the deceased individuals’ family members.
These kinds of instances are typical in Pakistan’s northern regions.
A car crashed into a deep ravine in the Tank district yesterday, killing three ladies and a girl and injuring seven more.
An earlier incident this month involved a family whose truck crashed into a ditch close to Khushab, killing 14 people and injuring nine more.
