The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) stated in a statement on Monday that it had discussed “various issues that were brought to our attention” with a number of delegations during the event.
It comes after Israeli broadcaster Kan was accused of breaking rules by Ireland’s Bambie Thug, who claimed to have filed “multiple complaints” with the prior to Saturday’s grand finale in the city of Malmo.
The Irish musician stated they were waiting for the Israeli network to stop “inciting violence” against them after accusing them three times of doing so.
With their gothic song “Doomsday Blue,” Bambie came in sixth place. Considering the recent Israel-Hamas conflict, Bambie had been critical of Israel’s representative, Eden Golan, who placed fifth in the competition.
