In Gujranwala city, Punjab, two adolescent sisters were taken into custody on Wednesday after they killed their father by burning him alive as retaliation for rape.
After being assaulted on January 1st and sent to a hospital, the father passed away on Tuesday.
Senior police official Rizwan Tariq told AFP, “The girls said that they decided amongst themselves to find a ‘permanent solution’.”
Then, he said, they stole gasoline from a motorcycle and burned their father alive while he slept.
The two step-sisters said that their father had attempted to rape the younger daughter twice and had been raping the oldest girl for a year.
