In a shocking turn of events, Ahsan Shah, the main suspect in the well-known murder of famous businessman and politician Amir Balaj Tipu in Lahore, was assassinated by his own accomplices while he was being held by the police.
The incident happened late on Friday night while Shah was being escorted by Lahore Police to the Shad Bagh neighborhood in order to retrieve evidence.
Official reports state that a group of Shah’s accomplices ambushed the police officers in a blatant attempt to liberate him as the police convoy approached Shad Bagh.
Ahsan Shah was seriously injured in the crossfire, but the police officers were able to flee unscathed. He was taken to the hospital immediately after his injuries, but he didn’t survive.
