With news conferences, interviews, and announcements, “action man” Mr. Sunak will attempt to regain control this week following weeks of criticism on a nonsensical legislative program, his incapacity to set the agenda, and divisions within the Tory Party taking center stage in the media.
The prime minister will advocate for the emergency Rwanda legislation that was first announced last year at a press conference on Monday.
Then, on Tuesday, he will leave for a two-day trip through Europe, starting in Warsaw, where he will make a significant statement.
According to some sources, the announcement will have to do with defense, most likely about exchanging equipment and soldier training with Poland and the West Balkans.
With the exception of a quick visit to Ukraine, this is Mr. Sunak’s first significant international journey in months.
