In what was called the “trial of the century,” the former NFL player and Hollywood actor was found not guilty of their double murder in 1995, but a civil case eventually found him accountable for the murders.
Simpson, who passed away on Wednesday at the age of 76 from cancer, did not pay the majority of the 1997 judgment; nonetheless, the families of Goldman and Brown may be entitled to receive a portion of his estate.
On Friday, he filed his will in a Nevadan Clark County court, designating his attorney Malcolm LaVergne as executor.
Simpson’s assets are listed in the document as having been transferred to a trust established this year, but Mr. LaVergne informed the Las Vegas Review-Journal that his total estate has not yet been totaled.
