LAHORE: It was revealed on Monday that Pakistan Post had suspended package reservations for the US for a month, causing the nation to suffer a significant financial loss of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Due to Pakistan Post’s booking suspension, orders placed by those who shipped items online were also canceled.
The development has damaged the national exchequer in addition to stopping commerce of Pakistani goods in the US.
According to sources quoted in the Pakistan Post, “the non-payment of compensation to American shipping companies is the reason for the closure of bookings.”
According to the utility, improper parcel packing was the reason the booking was halted.
The Directorate General of Pakistan Post has identified a number of shortcomings in an inquiry report.
