This summer, users in the US will be able to purchase a package that includes the Disney+, Hulu, and Max streaming services from Walt Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery.
Customers will be able to access the new package on all three streaming platforms.
The media behemoths said they will provide subscription services with and without advertisements, but they did not disclose the cost to consumers.
The decision was made in response to competition from Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, which pose a threat to Disney and Warner Bros.
Executive JB Perrette of Warner Bros. Discovery stated in a statement that “this new offering… will help drive incremental subscribers and much stronger retention.”
The two media outlets declared that in the upcoming weeks, they will provide additional information regarding the plans.
