In Machhar Colony, Keamari, an anti-encroachment operation on Monday resulted in the demolition of almost 100 illegal warehouses, businesses, and under-construction buildings.
According to The News, the effort resulted in the seizure of almost 20 acres of illegally occupied land belonging to the Karachi Port Trust (KPT), valued at Rs14.81 billion.
As a component of the prime minister’s Maritime Task Force agenda, the operation was conducted. An assistant commissioner served as its leader. The anti-encroachment team, which included KPT anti-encroachment staff, port intelligence, the chief of mechanical and electrical engineering, the KPT Port Security Force, and public relations officials, was secured by the 33 Wing Pakistan Rangers Sindh.
