A security guard pulled political correspondent Darren McCaffery and his colleagues from the Excel Centre in east London while they were live on air.
As he was being led out of the room, Darren remarked, “We just wanted to have access tonight, but we’ve been told that because of pool arrangements, we’re not allowed here.”
A pool agreement requires other broadcasters to share their video.
The gathering occurred hours after a rain-soaked Mr Sunak fired the starting gun for a summer election on July 4th.
But the prime minister appeared to be in a joyful mood.
