Masood Khan, Pakistan’s ambassador to the US, emphasized on Wednesday the substantial trade and investment opportunities in the financial services, information technology, and tourist sectors between Pakistan and the Bahamas.
Ambassador Khan gave his credentials as Islamabad’s non-resident High Commissioner-Designate to Cynthia A. Pratt, the governor general of the Commonwealth of Bahamas. “By fostering collaborative ventures and leveraging our respective strengths, we can unlock significant economic opportunities that will benefit both our countries,” Ambassador Khan said.
“We are committed to facilitating cultural, educational, and social exchanges that will not only deepen our understanding of each other’s rich heritage but also forge lasting bonds of friendship between our citizens,” said the ambassador.
As Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the Bahamas, it will be my honor and priority to seek to strengthen our bilateral relations. The Bahamas is a vital partner in the Government of Pakistan’s endeavor to strengthen its international ties, Khan continued.
The ambassador also expressed gratitude to the Bahamas government for endorsing Pakistan’s bid for the UN Security Council (UNSC) and emphasised that cooperation between the two nations in multilateral organisations offered a great chance to pursue shared objectives and tackle worldwide issues like climate change.
Additionally, he emphasized Bahamas’ proactive involvement in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), which has established it as an essential conduit for Pakistan to strengthen its ties with the area.
