ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa of Pakistan (CJP) stated during a court hearing that calling someone names makes everything OK. He further mentioned that verbally abusing the chief justice is the easiest thing to do.
The matter concerning the appointment of permanent vice chancellors of public sector universities was heard by a three-member bench of the highest court, presided over by Justice Isa.
The court was given an assurance during the hearing by the federal secretary of education that an audit of the International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) will be carried out by the Pakistani Auditor General.
The lawyer for IIUI Rector Samina Malik, Rehan Uddin, informed the judge that his client’s back pain prevented her from appearing in court. He also mentioned that her medical certificate was attached to his application.
