As part of its rightsizing initiatives, the railroads ministry has scheduled the elimination of 15,000 more positions in the near future.
According to a news statement, this occurred on Monday during a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Rightsizing. Muhammad Aurangzeb, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, chaired the meeting to assess how rightsizing initiatives were being implemented across federal departments.
The minister was notified by the Establishment Division that 29 ministries and one constitutional body had confirmed the elimination of 11,877 positions and 4,660 dying positions.
The new program would assist authorities in enhancing macroeconomic stability, enhancing the management of state-owned companies, and establishing conditions for stronger, more inclusive, and resilient economies, according to the International Monetary Fund’s $7 billion staff-level agreement.
