During the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting, S. Jaishankar, the minister of external affairs, made harsh remarks directed towards Pakistan, emphasizing how cross-border activities marked by extremism and separatism impede bilateral trade and relations.
Jaishankar made the following statement during the current summit: “It is clear that peace and stability are necessary for development and growth. This means taking a strong stand against the “three evils”—terrorism, extremism, and separatism—as stated in the SCO Charter. He emphasized that such detrimental actions would not promote international trade, energy flows, or connectivity.
“We must advance the SCO’s primary goal in today’s world, where globalization and rebalancing are significant realities,” the Minister said, emphasizing the significance of the SCO’s duty to tackle these difficulties. He reiterated the need for open communication, mutual trust, and good neighborliness.
