The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) announced on Thursday that the cold wave that has engulfed Karachi for days is expected to get worse starting on Saturday, January 4.
Westerly winds entering the country may cause rain in Balochistan, which may be followed by chilly winds in Karachi, according to the Met Office, even if the current cold may slightly reduce today and tomorrow (Friday).
According to the PMD, which forecasted chilly and dry weather in the city, the city’s lowest recorded temperature was 13.5 degrees Celsius, with a humidity of 58% and a wind speed of six kilometers per hour coming from the north.
The weather prediction comes after temperatures dipped to single digits several times last month, reaching 9.1°C and 9.5°C.
