For the second session in a row, Pakistani gold prices increased on Thursday, reflecting the growth in global markets.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the cost of a tola of gold increased by Rs1,000, to Rs243,300.
The cost of 10-gram gold also saw an increase, going from Rs857 to Rs208,590. This comes after an earlier price rise of Rs. 800 per tola on Wednesday.
On Thursday, the global gold market also saw rises. The global cost, which included a $20 premium and represented a $10 gain during the trading day, was $2,355 per ounce, according to APGJSA.
On the other hand, the local market’s silver prices stayed unchanged at Rs2,850 a tola.
