Pakistan’s gold prices have surged to previously unheard-of heights, breaking Rs 282,000 a tola for the first time ever.
The spike coincides with additional gains in the local and international gold markets.
The price of 24-carat gold per tola increased by Rs 500 in the most recent transaction, to Rs 282,300. Furthermore, the cost of 10 grams of gold went up by Rs 429 to Rs 242,027.
The price of gold per ounce also reached a record high on a global scale, rising $5 to $2,726.
Given the growing demand for gold, this notable increase in price has ramifications for both local investors and consumers as well as reflecting current global market trends.
