A new rainstorm is predicted to hit different parts of the country starting tomorrow (Monday), according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).
According to the Met Office, a system of westerly winds is expected to reach the nation, which could result in hailfall in Islamabad and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In the meantime, snowfall and showers are anticipated in the northern regions of Gilgit-Balstistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Days after Islamabad and Rawalpindi finally had significant rainfall after almost four months, the PMD’s prediction offers much-needed respite amid a worsening water shortage.
After a protracted drought, rain finally fell in some areas of Punjab and KP, with reports of mild to heavy showers in Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Gujrat, and Hafizabad.
