The Service Prosecuting Authority (Spa), the military counterpart of the Crown Prosecution Service, is now reviewing two cases, according to the data, which was first acquired through a Freedom of Information request made by the Times newspaper.
One person is involved in one case, and eight people are involved in another.
The cases’ specifics and whether they involved one or several incidents were not made public by the MoD.
The MoD does not comment on operations or the location of special forces troops, despite the fact that UK Special Forces have been involved in operations against Islamic State (IS) in Syria over the past ten years.
