Many Americans still don’t believe they know the “real” Kamala Harris, even after she has been interviewed more frequently, spent weeks on the campaign trail, served as vice president for three years, spent months campaigning for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2019, served as a senator for four years, and served as California’s attorney general for seven.
How is that possible? It’s incredible that a public person has remained vague for so long. Harris’ blatant fear of being in the spotlight is equally startling. When a teleprompter disappears, interviewers are presented with “word salads” that make little sense other than that. Or the untimely outbursts of laughing that were intended to mask her nervousness.
In the News, Maureen Dowd recently stated, “Even when getting softballs from supportive TV hosts, Harris at times seemed unsure of how to answer.”
For the first official interview with News, Vice President Kamala Harris will sit down with Chief Political Anchor Britt Bayer.
She performed admirably in her debate with former President Donald Trump, but it took weeks of preparation and memorization, a huge help from partisan moderators, and, let’s face it, a less-than-skilled opponent.
What’s causing Harris’s insecurity? One explanation could be that she is aware of her ineligibility and has come to this prestigious position for all the wrong reasons. that she was appointed vice president because Joe Biden had pledged to select a woman of wisdom.
