Of the $75 million (£58 million), the group has already spent about $72 million (£56 million) on canvassing to get people to vote.
In recent months, America PAC has struggled to find campaigners, firing two large contractors who were supposed to knock on front doors since July.
Musk said that America PAC was “just aiming for common sense, centrist values” on social media after the revelation.
The billionaire has switched from being a loud supporter of the Democrats to Mr. Trump.
At a campaign rally earlier this month in Pennsylvania, he joined the Republican candidate on stage and pledged to assist with campaign activities.
Following the Republican presidential candidate’s July allegation that Musk provided him “$45m a month,” there has been a great deal of conjecture over Musk’s contributions to the Trump campaign.
The billionaire later tweeted that his donations were “at a much lower level” after disputing the figure.
