According to Electrek, Elon Musk’s Tesla has revealed that it plans to launch more affordable electric vehicles (EVs) that will be manufactured on its current assembly lines.
The business has been working hard on its “next-generation vehicle platform,” which is anticipated to allow for the “unboxed” manufacturing process, which would likely lower the price of electric automobiles.
Previously, Tesla has discussed two upcoming models on the platform: the “$25,000 Tesla” or “Model 2” is a smaller and less expensive version of the Model 3 than Tesla has previously mentioned.
Furthermore, the electric vehicle manufacturing company is developing the Robotaxi, which is intended to be self-driving.
A few weeks prior, Musk accused reporters at Reuters of being “liars” for claiming that Tesla had “canceled the long-promised inexpensive car”.Elektrek, however, stated that Tesla has really ceased development of the new, lower-cost car based on the new platform. It included insider information confirming Musk’s decision to shelve plans to expand Gigafactory Texas to accommodate the next car, code-named NV9.
