LAHORE: Under 13 provisions, including the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), the Lahore police have filed a case against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur for using violence near Sialkot Interchange while traveling to the provincial capital to attend the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Sept. 21 power show, which the government has deemed a bust.
The PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and other party leaders were forced to leave the Imran Khan-founded party’s public gathering in Lahore when police seized the stage, cutting off the lights and microphone.
The PTI rally went past the 6 p.m. deadline mentioned in the no-objection certificate (NOC), prompting the district administration and police to take immediate action.
