To raise awareness of its demands, the Punjab University Student Federation (PUSF), which is made up of many student organizations, including Pashtun, Baloch, Seraiki, and Punjabi groups, organized a march outside the Institute of Education and Research (IER).
Reversing recent fee increases, allowing students to serve on harassment committees, building new dorms, resolving scholarship issues, restoring quotas for South Punjab tribal areas, and looking into the death of a female student who was discovered hanging in the university dorm were among the demands made by the students.
Additionally, students demanded that law police stop profiling them.
As the security officers attempted to disperse the demonstrators outside the IER, they allegedly attacked them and took a microphone from the demonstrators.
