FAISALABAD: In a case involving their suspected involvement in the May 9 riots, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Wednesday issued non-bailable arrest warrants for Senate Opposition Leader Shibli Faraz, National Assembly Opposition Leader Omar Ayub, and other individuals.
Arrest warrants have also been issued against Kanwal Shauzab of the PTI and former party leader Fawad Chaudhry for failing to appear in court in a case filed at the Civil Lines Police Station.
PTI member of the provincial assembly (MPA), Junaid Afzal Sahi, who was proclaimed absconder along with Khayal Ahmad Kastro for not showing up, expressed his opinions during his court appearance. He stated that a review petition had been submitted and that the court had deferred it.
