Roberts gushed about her family during her chat with the renowned director, referring to them as the “powerhouse” of her age-defying appearance.
The actor from Leave The World Behind also conveyed her sincere gratitude for the global recognition she received early in her career.
The 56-year-old actress said, “Well, I think that the luckiest aspect of my work life and family life is that the success of my work life came earlier,” in reference to her quicker professional advancement.
“I had been working for eighteen years by the time I achieved success in my family life and had a husband and kids who desired to stay at home,” she continued.
In addition, Roberts expressed to the interviewer her sense of luck at never having to choose between her family and career.
Thus, I thought I was living in luxury. I was not required to choose between the two. It was not up to you to decide. either/or.
She said, “So it was easy to pause work life to nurture my home life,” before changing the subject.
