America PAC, a campaign organization founded by Mr. Musk to back Donald Trump in the presidential election, created the petition.
Pennsylvania voters are being given money just for signing the petition. Additionally, a million dollars is being awarded to one random swing-state signatory every day.
However, according to legal experts, offering money in exchange for someone signing up to vote might be illegal in the United States. America PAC and Mr. Musk’s team have been contacted by News for comment.
Georgia, Nevada, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, and North Carolina are the six swing states where voters are encouraged to sign a “petition in favour of free speech and the right to bear arms” by America PAC.
A total of $47 (£36) is promised to those who recommend another voter who registers.
In Pennsylvania, the crucial state that both the Trump and Harris campaigns feel might ultimately determine the winner of the race, higher amounts of $100 are offered for signing or referring.
According to America PAC, petition signers are expressing their support for the US Constitution’s First and Second Amendments.
Up until election day on November 5th, a $1 million prize will be given away at random to any signatory in one of this.
