Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Syed Khursheed Shah, a government supporter, voiced concerns over the organization’s method of drafting the national budget.
Shah is worried about the PPP’s lack of participation and communication during the budget-making process.
“What kinds of suggestions? Which kind of spending plan? The administration remained silent and refused to acknowledge it, according to Shah.
The budget’s important components, such as the development initiatives, tax laws, and privatization ambitions, were unknown to him.
“I don’t know which province is getting what share in giving relief to the people,” he stated.
The PPP leader also expressed doubts about the federal ministries’ plans’ transparency, saying that the PPP was unaware of any recent or ongoing activities.
He went on to hypothesize as to whether the government was creating the budget on its own or if other organizations like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) were imposing it.
Shah stated, “PPP has shared the entire burden of the government.”
He voiced worries about the public’s expectation of the PPP to answer for the budgetary results.
“In the budget, the public will ask us what has been done, what we will answer?” asked the politician.
