About 150 flights have been canceled and 200 flights have been delayed on Vistara since March 31.
According to media sources, the disruption was brought on by pilots taking widespread sick leave in protest of changes made to the airline after its merger with Air India.
Vistara claims to be investigating ways to give its pilots a better work-life balance.
The news was informed by a Vistara representative that the airline was “scaling back its network temporarily” and that passengers would receive reimbursements for canceled tickets.
The Hindu newspaper reports that Vistara CEO Vinod Kannan apologized to pilots for “taxing schedules” during a meeting on Wednesday and asked for their “support” in fixing issues.
