Based on scientific evaluations, astronomical computations, and current observational data, the Pakistan Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) has released a prognosis for the crescent’s visibility as the holy month of Ramadan approaches.
According to its analysis, the new moon for Ramadan will take place on February 28 at 5:45 PST. However, important variables, including the moon’s age, angular separation from the sun, height at sunset, and atmospheric conditions, all affect how visible the crescent appears.
It further stated that the moon would be around 12 hours old at sunset and that the moon-sun angle would be about 7 degrees, while the moon’s altitude would be about 5 degrees.
