A US-based private equity group purchased a 44% share earlier this year.
Sheeran, who was “really excited” about the move and who has always supported the Suffolk club, said he was raised in the neighboring town of Framlingham.
“Being an owner of the team you support is every football fan’s dream, and I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity,” he continued.

I’m not a board member or voting shareholder; this is just my way of giving back to the club I love. So, please don’t bother contacting me with sign-on ideas or strategies.
