According to a Monday report by Geo News, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Peshawar has made significant headway in its investigation into the violent suicide attack that targeted Chinese engineers in Bisham city, in the Shangla region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, last month.
Four terrorists have been detained in connection with the March 26 suicide bomber blast that killed five Chinese nationals, including a woman and the car’s Pakistani driver. The vehicle was carrying explosives.
The CTD official stated that further terrorists from the same network as the detained terrorists were also discovered. The detained terrorists were linked to the outlawed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
More than ten terrorists and those who assisted them were “arrested” by the CTD earlier this month, and it became known that banned groups with ties to the TTP were thought to be to be involved in the March 26 deadly attack.
