More than 300 drones and missiles, including 120 ballistic missiles and 30 cruise missiles, were fired at Israel, along with further launches in Yemen, Syria, and Iraq.
According to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, “a number” of Iranian assault drones were shot down by the news.
He affirmed that as part of ongoing operations in Syria and Iraq, the UK has dispatched “extra planes” to the area.
He went on to say that the “fallout for regional stability would be hard to overstate” if Iran’s attack on Israel had been successful.
Iranian drones were purportedly shot down by US aircraft over northern Syria.
