Michael Cohen, a former Trump lawyer, is scheduled to testify on Monday morning in the former president Trump’s criminal trial.
As they attempt to demonstrate that the former president fabricated financial documents pertaining to a $130,000 payment to adult film actress Stormy Daniels, Cohen is reportedly the star witness for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg and his staff.
Bragg accused Trump of 34 first-degree offenses of falsifying company records. Trump has maintained his innocence and entered not guilty pleas to all of the allegations.
Cohen, who had made headlines for saying he would “take a bullet” for Trump, his longtime friend and former boss, will testify against him regarding his involvement in setting up Daniels’ hush money payment prior to the 2016 election.
