On Thursday, the US dollar’s value increased by eight paisas on the interbank market, continuing its upward trend. With this increase, the interbank exchange rate for the dollar is Rs278.60.
The US dollar increased in value versus the Pakistani rupee by 11 paisas on Wednesday, reaching Rs278.45.
The International Monetary Fund (IMF) approved a much-anticipated $7 billion rescue plan for Pakistan, but it was again delayed, which contributed to the US dollar’s climb in value.
Sources claim that the most recent IMF Executive Board meeting schedule, which was made public till August 30, did not include Pakistan’s name.
